Find and Replace Text
The Find and Replace Text Tool provides a quick solution to search for a given text in a large text-based content. What you need to do is simply paste your content, enter the search text and replacement text, then this tool will quickly do the job for you.
How does Find and Replace Work?
This tool comes really handy especially if you are doing a quick task of finding repeated text or words in your document and you want it replaced with something else.
So instead of looking for it and reading the document from start to end, just use this tool.
Using your entered text content (Text Input field), the tool will search for whatever text you are looking for to be replaced (Find Text field), finally by using the texts or words you want to replace (Replacement Text) for those searched words, the tool will find and replace those texts.
Why is this tool helpful?
There are common problems, or a quick solution to what some people are doing manually instead of using this tool or any other text replacement tools available out there. These are the following scenarios where you can take advantage of this tool to save your time:
- If you find a misspelled word, there's a huge change it is repeated throughout your content.
- Updating brand names or product names.
- Remove repeated phrases. ("You know what I mean? - this phrase for example.")
There could be a lot more purpose to this like changing certain words to fit right to your audience, or cleaning to words for consistency among others.
How to use the Find and Replace Tool?
The tool is laid out and labeled simply in such a way that it is easily understood by users. However, if you want to go down to the step by step guide, here's how it goes:
📋 Paste Your Text Content
The very first thing to do is to paste your original content at ✍🏻 Text Input field.
For example, copy these paragraphs and change the brand name from BrandX to BrandY.

🔎 Find
The second step is the enter the search word, just type if inside the input field marked with 🔎 Find Text.
⚡ Replace
You have already added your original content, and typed your search word, the next step is to type your ⚡ Replacement Text. This is the one that will replace your searched word in the 🔎 Find Text input field.
🛠️ Submit and Clear
When all is done, click on the Submit button and the result will be displayed in 📑 Processed Output text area which is just beside your original content.
In case where you want to clear the form for new sets of data, just click on the Clear button.
What I personally like about this tool is the highlighting replacement text effect after the output is displayed. This is a tiny but helpful feature where you can quickly assess what and where text were changed.
⚙️ Form Components
There are 6 input and output fields on this Find and Replace Text tool, here's a quick description on each of them:
✍🏻 Text Input
A text area solely used to contain your original content. It only accepts text-based content.
📑 Processed Output
Placed beside the ✍🏻 Text Input field, this is where the result is displayed. It contains the new content with replaced texts.
🔎 Find Text
A text input dedicated to contain the text that you want to find.
⚡ Replacement Text
A text input where you need to enter the replacement text. The words that matches your Find Text will be replaced by this input.
Submit and Clear
The trigger of the process is the Submit button. Also, by clicking on Clear button, it will trigger a deletion of the input and output text area contents.
